A new way of seeing value.

We believe a company’s shareholder value is directly connected to the value it creates for its stakeholders. Our Total Value Framework is a data-driven approach to investing that allows the firm to put a dollar value on the environmental, social and governance actions a company takes and then tie those impacts to long-term financial value creation.

Successful CEOs and boards care about long-term value. Engine No. 1's Total Value Framework helps both business leaders and investors tie environmental, social & governance data directly to economic outcomes.

We believe a company’s performance is enhanced by the investments it makes in its employees, customers, communities, and the environment. We focus on identifying impacts that are crucial economic drivers — ones that shareholders are demanding, and the market will increasingly reward.

Our Total Value Framework is a data-driven approach that integrates non-traditional but financially material ESG data, methods, and systems into traditional analysis. We avoid common ESG scores and ranks in favor of quantifying corporate stakeholder impact in actual dollar amounts.
